2023 Soapbox Derby.

Over the last few years we have supported Aylesbury Town Council with their free family event ‘The Aylesbury Soapbox Derby’.

The event is held on Father Day each year and is free to enter as well as having loads of free stuff for all the family to get involved in.

This year we decided to go one step further and enter a kart of our own and of course it had to be a Land Rover. The project was started by Duncan and with some help in the way of plans and manual labour (we wont mention the Chairmans painting skills) from other members the kart was born.

We entered it in to the Derby with our young members making up the team. Now with Duncan Jnr at the steering wheel and Logan and Harry giving him a massive push we managed to secure a well respected 6^th place. We also had the youngest driver there so we are happy with that. With the kart now in storage we will be making some performance adjustments and getting it ready for next year

In 2023, lead by Duncan, we made a winning machine.
